The GraduateCenter^LMU

The GraduateCenter^LMU is the central coordination and service unit for doctoral studies at LMU Munich. It offers advice and support for doctoral students as well as for professors and coordinators of doctoral programs. For doctoral students the GraduateCenter^LMU provides general information on doctorates at LMU Munich and organizes a wide range of courses in transferable skills. Professors and coordinators receive individualized consulting for the planning and implementation of structured doctoral programs. more

On May 22 and 23 the GraduateCenter^LMU will host a conference concerning "Best Practice Models in German Graduate Education". Selected institutional strategies as well as concepts for single aspects in this subject area will be introduced and discussed. more

In 2012 the GraduateCenter^LMU organizes a photography contest for the fourth time. This year's topic is "My Everyday Life as a Doctoral Student". The GraduateCenter^LMU will publish the submitted pictures on its website. Online voting for the public choice awards will start around June 15. Submission deadline is June 6, 2012. more

Doctoral students of LMU Munich can apply for the LMU Travel Grant. The grant is provided either for necessary research stays or for active participation in a scientific conference. Application deadline is June 15, 2012. more
