Managing Bibliographies with EndNote
GraduateCenterLMU Workshop for Doctoral Candidates in Cooperation with the University Library
EndNote is a citation management software widely used in research, education and development. It integrates three basic functions: online search in professional databases and library catalogues, direct transfer of the selected literature into the user database, and the capacity of automatically producing reference lists in combination with word processing programs. This workshop is addressed to doctoral candidates who are either planning to use EndNote for their thesis or have already gained basic experience with this software. The workshop topics will be adapted to the participants' needs.
- Installation of software
- Construction of an EndNote library
- Import of structured text files
- Online search in professional databases and library catalogues
- Editing of data sets
- Compilation of bibliographies (Cite-While-You-Write, Subject Bibliographies)
- Editing of output styles
